Passing on your talk and assignment research
You did the digging for a talk, a part or an assignment. Here's how to hand the research to whoever needs it next — as real notes in their library, or as plain text for a document.
Preparation is rarely used only once. The scriptures you chased down, the background you read, the way you finally decided to frame a point — someone covering the same material later would rather start from that than from a blank page.
JW Sync gives you two ways to pass it on, and they suit different people: as notes that land in the other person's JW Library, or as plain text they can paste into a document.
Step by step
Pull the research together under one tag
As you prepare, tag the notes with the theme or the assignment. If they're already written and untagged, open your backup in Study Explorer and tag them in bulk in a couple of minutes.
Decide which form suits the other person
Someone who studies in JW Library wants notes in their library. Someone building a document wants text. You can do both from the same set.
To send notes: use the Share page
At jwsync.org/share.html choose Send notes, load your backup, filter by the tag you used and hit Select all, then create the file. They add it to their own backup and restore it — their own notes are untouched.
To send text: export from Study Explorer
Filter to the same set and copy or export it as Markdown or plain text. Formatting survives, so a structured outline stays structured when it's pasted into a document.
Keep a copy for yourself, in a form you'll find again
The same export is worth keeping for your own use. A tag plus a date range makes the whole preparation retrievable years later, which is exactly when you'll want it — and Study Explorer's date extraction turns any window of time into its own file.

- Yes — shared notes keep the paragraph and verse they were attached to, so they land in the right place in the other person's library.
