Sharing this week's meeting notes with the family
Someone was sick, working or away — send them the week's notes as a small file they can add to their own JW Library, without either of you losing anything.
In most households everyone takes their own notes on their own device, and someone always misses a meeting. Reading your notes out over dinner works once; putting them in the other person's library is what lets them use the material later, in the place they will actually look for it.
Because sharing is note-by-note rather than backup-by-backup, several people can swap notes freely without anyone's library being overwritten.
Step by step
Back up the device you took notes on
JW Library → Personal Study → Backup and Restore → Create a backup.
Select the week's notes
At jwsync.org/share.html choose Send notes, load your backup, and tick this week's notes — searching by the publication brings them together quickly, and if you tag the week's notes the tag filter gathers them in one click.
Send it in the family chat
Create the share file and send it however the household already talks — messaging app, email, AirDrop. It is a small file with only the notes you ticked in it.
Each person adds it to their own backup
They open the same page, choose Receive, load your file with a backup of their own, download the updated backup and restore it in JW Library.
Everyone's library stays their own
Nobody's notes are replaced, and nobody has to hand over their whole library to take part. Imported notes arrive under a tag, so each person can see at a glance which notes came from someone else and delete the batch later if they would rather not keep it.
Family worship: gather instead of scatter
The same tool works in the other direction. If everyone takes notes during family worship, one person can collect the others' share files into a single backup and end up with the household's combined notes on the same material.

- Any device that can run JW Library and open a web page can. The steps are identical on a phone, tablet or computer.
- Do we need to be on the same platform?
- No. Android, iPhone, iPad and the Windows app all use the same backup format, so notes cross between them without conversion.
