Over time most people's highlights drift — yellow meant one thing in 2019 and something else now, and there's no way in JW Library to see them all together or fix them at scale. Step by step
Load your backup
At jwsync.org, open your .jwlibrary file in Study Explorer and switch to the Highlights tab.
Browse and filter your highlights
See every highlight in one list, filter by colour or publication, and search the highlighted text and any linked notes.
Recolour in bulk
Select many highlights and change their colour together — for example, unify everything you meant as “key scripture” to one colour across your whole library.
Edit linked notes too
Where a highlight has a note attached, edit that note's title and content right here as well.
Export and restore
Download the edited .jwlibrary and restore it in JW Library so your consistent colour code is on every device.
